Monthly MeetingsFirst Thursday of each month, 7:00 pm, Congregation Shearith Israel, 9401 Douglas, 4 blocks north of NW Highway 1 block south of Walnut Hill. The meeting place may change occasionally due to special circumstances, please call if this will be your first visit. ProgramsNationally known speakers as well as the guilds own talented members lecture and present a variety of informative and stimulating programs related to quilting. WorkshopsAccomplished quilting teachers present workshops for Guild members throughout the year. Quilt ShowMembers pay no entry fees to enter their quilts or wearable art in the annual Quilt Celebration show. In addition, volunteer opportunities abound at the show. LibraryA growing lending library that has books and videos available to loan to guild members. Semi-Monthly NewsletterQuilting Lines serves as the main communications vehicle for getting information to all Guild members and is published every other month. Notices of meeting time, place, and program are always front page news. Inside, you will find information about Friendship Groups, upcoming workshops, member profiles, a calendar of upcoming quilt shows and events, and committee reports. In addition, many local quilt shops and self-employed quilters place ads for their services, upcoming sales, classes, and special events. Friendship GroupsFriendship Groups are small sub-groups of the Guild which give members the opportunity to make new friends, share ideas and learn new quilting skills. More than 15 groups, organized roughly by geographic area meet periodically throughout the Metroplex. Annual RetreatEver wanted to run away from home? Even if it's only for a couple of days? We offer this opportunity for our members every year in the form of the Annual Retreat. Quilters meet at a location "away from home" for up to three days of slicing, dicing, stitching, etc. The atmosphere is relaxed, the fellowship is friendly. For more information
