It is often difficult to get
to know other Guild members at our general meetings as there is always
a great deal of activity and a scheduled agenda for the evening. Friendship
Groups, sometimes referred to as small groups, are made up
of Guild members who get together with others in their area on a weekly
or monthly basis in a more intimate and informal atmosphere for friendship,
conversation and quilting. Joining a Friendship Group will give you a
better opportunity to meet others in a more relaxed environment. It will
also make general meetings more enjoyable as you will begin to recognize
familiar faces.
As a member of the Guild,
you are encouraged to join one or more Friendship Groups. To find a Friendship
Group in your area, refer to the list printed
monthly in Quilting Lines. You will find group names, meeting times,
and in the newsletter, the name and phone number of someone to call for
more information for each Friendship Group. If there isnt a group
listed near your area, you may want to consider starting a group. Just
put a notice in Quilting Lines soliciting interest and you may
have a flock of friends before you know it!

a Friendship Group (or forming your own), contact:
