2012 QGD Winter Retreat!

Don't miss out on a great weekend with some exceptional friends!

Each year, the Guild sponsors a long weekend retreat at Tanglewood Resort on Lake Texoma. Typically, the weekend that includes the Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday celebration is chosen, since many employers give their staff Monday off - hence, maximum sewing time! Attendees get to have someone else do the cooking while they do nothing but relax with friends and other kindred spirits, finishing UFO's (unfinished objects), work on show entries, starting new projects, making Covers for Kids, or anything else that they feel like doing.

Tanglewood is a full-service resort, so in addition to simply sitting and sewing with the group in the ballroom or relaxing alone in their hotel room, attendees may also opt to take advantage of SPA services available. (hot stone treatments were quite popular last year!)

You have the option of staying one, two, three, four or five days. The rates are based on the number of nights you stay and how many are in your room.

• There are no rooms with 3 beds, so if you request a triple or quad occupancy room, be aware that you will have a room with two queen-size beds. Everyone in a room must pay for the same number of nights!
• Junior Guild members are still welcome to stay in their mom's or grandmom's room free. Check with me for the charges, which will be for meals only.
• Checks should be made payable to:

  for the full amount, and postmarked by November 15, 2011.
