2008 Advertising in the Show Program

Dallas Quilt Celebration show is one of the largest regional quilt shows in the United States, attracting entries and visitors from around the world! It will also be one of the first large public quilt shows during the 2008 calendar year. We print 10,000 copies of our 36-page show program. It is available free of charge to each of our show visitors, and a courtesy copy is also mailed to our out-of-town judged show entrants. With this level of distribution, we feel that our show program presents a golden opportunity for your advertising dollar to reach your target audience. In addition to the actual show visitors, you’ll reach a large residual audience:

This year, the show theme is “Timeless Traditions.” You may wish to get into the spirit of the show and utilize the theme in your advertising. As we need to begin planning the program layout early in the year, we need to receive your reservation for your ad no later than January 10, 20087. Camera-ready art and final payment is due no later than January 28, 2008. Please mail the reservation form as soon as possible.

All show sponsors receive complimentary advertising space as part of the sponsorship package. However, if you are a show sponsor and would like to upgrade the size of your ad, please email for the adjusted ad rate.

How to Prepare Your Ad:

Digital submission of your ad on CD-Rom is preferred.

Digital File Requirements - Programs accepted include:

• Adobe InDesign
• Quark XPress
• Adobe Photoshop (TIFF or EPS)
• Adobe Illustrator (EPS only. All fonts must be converted to curves)

Collect all support files for your ad, including fonts and images. All ads must be black and white and include a proof. Macintosh file format is preferred, although PC format is accepted. When submitting PC formatted files, they must be in the required programs and all fonts should be converted to curves.

Camera-Ready Art - If you choose to send camera ready art instead of digital files, output on RC paper/Velox is preferred. If a laser print is sent, artwork should be 100% black, at least 300 dpi and 150 lpi. Please mail the ad FLAT with no creases. Please note that the ad reproduction can only be as good as the original. Low-resolution submissions will result in a poor-quality printed ad.

Additional Fees - Preflight production (checking files, ad placement) is included in the cost of your ad. Any additional production time (files improperly formatted, corrupt, not sized to spec, sent as film) will be billed at $60.00 per hour in 15 minute increments. You will be contacted before any charges will be incurred.
