Raffle Quilt 2009

This quilt was conceived by Guild members Richard Larson and Judy Kriehn. They decided that it would be nice to do a classic Amish quilt for the raffle quilt for a change from the "usual." They were inspired by the "square in a square" designs pictured in the book Amish: The Art of the Quilt, by Julie Silber.

• The top was pieced by Judy Kriehn and Marie Zaczkowski, using traditional Amish colors - bright red, bright purple, teal green, a dark hunter green, and eggplant purple.
• Richard Larson, Quilting Design Studio, custom-quilted the quilt using black threads.
  It is TRULY a show-stopper quilt that anyone would be proud to own. (see detail shots below)
• It measures approximately 94 x 94 (a large queen size)

Raffle tickets are available from Guild members, and will (of course) be available at the show. The drawing for the winner will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2009.
