Dallas Quilt Celebration Special Exhibits 2010

Works from The Dallas Area Fiber Artists and
an exhibit of new pieces from the Twisted Stitchers
Each year we try to select special exhibits that will give our show an extra zing and give us the opportunity to showcase quilts that we might not otherwise have an opportunity to see.
Members of the Dallas Area Fiber Artists group works will include items made using fiber as a primary media and can include: art quilts, weavings, felted art, beaded art works, wearable art, paper, art dolls, mixed media that includes fiber, and any other works that are deemed “Fiber Art”. Entries will be of original design and execution with a major focus on fiber or fiber techniques.
In celebration of their 10th Anniversary, the Twisted Stitchers group accepted an invitation challenge to make a creation 12” x 12” by a single person who is within two degrees of separation from a member of the Twisted Stitchers group. Some pieces may be available for purchase.
Returning Exhibits
In addition to the exhibits specially booked for this show, we'll also have returning favorites, including:
- Dallas "Keeper Quilt" Collection - made from blocks made for the annual "Block Challenge."
- Community Service Projects - Quilts and other items made for our community service recipients - Ronald McDonald House, Vogel Alcove, and Dallas Children's Advocacy Center.
