Sharon Holliday

Sharon Holliday has been a quilter for over 30 years and has made over 400 quilts during that time. She was a longarm quilter for 10 years and she taught quilting classes and workshops on beginning piecing, applique, bagmaking, and binding. She also taught her Sourdough Quilt method and precision piecing techniques.

Sharon conducted numerous block exchanges with various guilds and quilting groups that resulted in hundreds of quilts from participants. Her favorite quilts are scrap quilts that use pieces as small as 1-1/2-inch squares to make full-sized quilts.

Lecture — Sourdough Quilts:  Sharon’s presentation is called Sourdough Quilts. She will show us approximately 30 quilts and give us tips and ideas on how to organize and make our own scrap quilts using 1-1/2- and 2-inch squares, as well as useful ways to use selvages to make totes and quilts.
