Workshop: Egyptian Tentmakers Applique
Egyptian Tentmakers Appliqué is one of the oldest known forms of quilting. Tentmakers are artisans in Cairo that work with cotton fabric making intricate and unique designs. I lived in Egypt for 8 years and loved visiting and purchasing pieces from the Tentmakers. I look forward to sharing my collection, stories and photos of the tentmakers and the stitching traditions they are still doing today!
