Benefits of Membership in Quilters’ Guild of Dallas
When you join the Quilter’s Guild of Dallas, you will be part of a dynamic group of creative people. This community of quilters will inspire you and give you an opportunity to explore new artistic outlets. You will have opportunities to share your creations at the monthly meetings. You can participate in the Guild’s Community Service work through making quilts for “Covers For Kids.” As a member of Quilter’s Guild of Dallas, you will be challenged and encouraged in your quilting journey.
Here are a few more Membership Benefits:
Monthly Meetings
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at Spring Valley United Methodist Church in Dallas. The meeting place or date may change occasionally due to special circumstances, but these changes are well-publicized on our website and in our newsletter. Please call ahead if this will be your first visit.
Programs & Workshops
Nationally known speakers, as well as the guild’s own talented members lecture and present a variety of informative and stimulating programs related to quilting. Most of our guest speakers are also accomplished quilt technique teachers, and present workshops for Guild members throughout the year.

Newsletter
QGD Online serves as the main communications vehicle for getting information to all Guild members and is published monthly year-round. Notices of meeting time, place, and program are always front page news. Inside, you will find information about upcoming workshops, a calendar of upcoming quilt shows and events, and committee reports. In addition, local quilt shops and self-employed quilters may place ads for their services, upcoming sales, classes, and special events.

Friendship Groups
Friendship Groups are small sub-groups of the Guild which give members the opportunity to make new friends, share ideas and learn new quilting skills. There are many groups organized roughly by geographic area that meet periodically throughout the Metroplex.

Annual Retreat
Ever wanted to run away from home? Even if it’s only for a couple of days? We offer this opportunity for our members every year in the form of the Annual Retreat. Quilters meet at a location “away from home” for up to four days of slicing, dicing, stitching, etc. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the fellowship is friendly.
